About us

At WBO, we are motivated by the aspiration to inspire, mobilize, and bring together, people form diverse backgrounds - religious and cultural - and strengthen the bonds of love and sharing that keep the social matrix healthy and enriched. 'Sarva-Dharma-Sambhava' - The equality of all religions and a feeling of mutual respect can be fostered. This is the central philosophy to which our organization aligns itself. Stepping aside from our parochial, communal or religious identities, and embracing that which is human, though different from us, it is the composite harmony of humanity that we seek to promote. An international voluntary, non profitable, non political, social organization, WBO was founded to serve this humanitarian purpose, in the year 1999.

In the light of recent communal conflicts in our country and abroad, WBO is even more determined to fulfill its lofty goals. Like WBO, I too think that religion is something that binds people from different cultures together, rather than divide them on communal lines. Faith in one's true religion teaches the oneness of God, and a desire to serve humanity, regardless of bias. We work towards awakening that enlightened state of being within every one of us, and creating a magnificent world where peace reigns supreme.

While we have our roots in India, which is to us like a beautiful bouquet - full of the colour of various cultures and religions, the fragrance of their wisdom and the freshness of their ideas - we also seek to spread our wings internationally, by expanding our member base abroad. Our members include people from all walks of life - from high profile and eminent dignitaries to diplomats and high ranking government officials, from prosperous industrialists to admirable intellectuals, from social workers to politicians. People from different nations have appreciated the work done by us in India and thus want us to take up projects in their respective countries.

I look forward to a wonderful time ahead for our organization, as we work our way towards a better and brighter tomorrow, effused with the light of hope and peace.
